Cons -No house keeping service, Rooms not well maintained.
It's not a Resort -ITS A HOUSE STAY with basic facilities.
No cook-Food was ordered and bought
Stay was not comfortable as I hoped due to above mentioned reasons but overall experience was manageable.If you are looking for basic accomodation and don't mind minor discomfort this place is an option but guests seeking comfort might want to consider otherwise.
No one will be available in small hilltowns and villages to give you directions if you travel and try to reach around 2 am in the night. Don't rely heavily on Google map as it suggests all idiotic routes to reach the place. Moreover, mobile signal for some service providers will be spotty (like Airtel). Best is to reach when there is still enough day light and people on the roads to seek direction.
The rooms are basic, the food tasty but no-frills Malabar cuisine. The caretaker was kind and helpful.
However, till you open your eyes early in the morning and look at the view, you will not realise how spectacular the scenery is!!! Literally, Paithalmala staring majestically at you. Breathtaking.
You can just do nothing and laze under a gazebo looking at the majestic Paithalmala or go for a walk in to the woods and see the beautiful hills all around.
We stayed in the resort on 18th to 20th April. When we realised that the region is centre for ancient Thaiyyam, temple dance form from Kerala, we did not want to miss the opportunity to witness it. Fortunately for us, 20th April also happened to be the last day of the Thaiyyam season. When I called Mr. Mahmood who owns the property, he offered to take us to various important temples at Taliparamba and one of the important places for the Thaiyyam artform.
He was extremely kind to have accompany us and educate about various things about the region, culture, temples and Thaiyyam.
He won us over.

They have very good hospitality and are very obliging
This place is suitable for both family and friends
The view from this stay of all the mountains and nature is a bliss to watch
The price is also reasonable
The staff is welcoming and will help you plan your Itenary as well
